Hyper4Rail publishes first European Hyperloop network assessment

Hyper4Rail has finalised the Hyperloop Network Analysis and Use Case Identification, a major study exploring how hyperloop could complement Europe's future transport network and support the objectives of the TEN-T network.

The deliverable presents a European hyperloop network vision, evaluates potential corridors, and assesses the economic, environmental, and mobility impacts of integrating hyperloop with existing rail infrastructure. The analysis indicates that hyperloop could play a significant role in reducing short-haul aviation demand, improving long-distance connectivity, and strengthening a multimodal European transport system.

A key finding is that hyperloop delivers the greatest value when operated as a complement to high-speed rail, creating seamless multimodal journeys across Europe. The study also identifies priority corridors for further business case development, providing a foundation for the next stages of the Hyper4Rail project.

The results contribute to the ongoing discussion on the future of sustainable, high-capacity transport in Europe and the potential role of hyperloop as a next-generation railway technology.
